Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo

Since its inception in 1974, this all-male ensemble has established itself as a major dance phenomenon -- masterfully performing and parodying the full range of the ballet and modern dance repertoire with zany humor and balletic skill. The "Trocks" comedy is achieved by incorporating and exaggerating the foibles, accidents, and underlying incongruities of serious dance. Men dance all the parts--heavy bodies delicately balancing on toes as swans, sylphs, water sprites, romantic princesses, and angst-ridden Victorian ladies. Their performance will delight and amuse the most knowledgeable dance fans as well as novices to ballet.
