Saturday, August 31, 2019, 10:00 PM

Human civilization can all be linked by the many waterways around the globe. Serving as highways, sources of drinkable water, and sources of food for many, rivers like the James became sties of the most successful human settlements. Using an ancient form of fishing called seine netting, we will be stepping into the shoes of our ancestors to find what may be living beneath the waves of the James. Through this we'll discover how the river has changed in the past 400 years, and how the river still plays an important role in our lives. Please wear water shoes, the shells in the James River can be sharp. **Location Detail: Meet at the footbridge on College Run Trail
