HOMEsick, a world premiere

Sunday, October 20, 2019, 2:30 AM - 4:00 AM

HOMEsick is an original work for theatre exploring the myth of the American Dream. Fourteen pioneers are on a wagon train heading west, in search of a new life; they find instead betrayal. This past being prologue, we fast-forward to the present day, where politicians travel the campaign trail, immigrants journey towards our border, addicts trip into opioid dreams – people are still looking for a place to call Home….and betrayal is still around every corner, the Promised Land still elusive.

HOMEsick, written and directed by Emmy nominee Deborah Wallace, is an intimate and revealing look at what we, as a nation, are really searching for, and where we are headed …what is the American Dream, and what if it’s reduced to a cautionary parable?

Cost: $15 General, $10 groups of 10+, $5 ODU students
